This is an excellent time to pause and reflect on God's gift of freedom that we have as Americans. Only once you are without that gift do you appreciate it fully. I traveled to China in 2012 to attend a controversial economic meeting that the Communist party shut down. We then realized that our emails and internet usage were being monitored. Once you've had an experience like that, you appreciate what a gift freedom is.
